On the occasion of my visit to the House of European History, I would like to share some of my impressions and reflections about the museum and the history of Europe.
Talking about the museum, I find funny that security has to check us before we came in. It’s like we want to go to a museum to kill someone.
The museum was amazing. Before going, I thought that it would be boring but it was great. I had a tablet from which I listened to information for the exhibits. It was very useful. It has 24 languages so everyone could learn about European history. Also, some interactive games were there which helped us understand better what people did and how their life was.
What impressed me more about the history was how the two biggest rivals succeeded via the dialogue to create a united Europe. France and Germany were on opposite sides in every world war. However, they managed to forget their differences and cooperated for the common good.
Moreover, I understood that war can destroy everything. Europe is a continent which had 2 world wars and that had consequences for everyone.
Instead, right now EU manages to ensure peace between all member states. Even though, there is democracy and equality, what I believe is that two countries rule us.
Concluding, visiting a museum is an amazing experience. You should visit it sometime in the future.
